Asli Aker, PCC

Asli Aker is a Global Leadership and Organizational Development Expert and an Executive Coach based in Seattle, WA. She helps purpose-driven leaders and teams contribute at their highest capacity. Asli is a true world citizen who brings her experience living and working in the U.S., Singapore, the United Kingdom, Austria, Dubai, and Turkey to her global clientele.​

Asli takes a direct yet encouraging approach to supporting leaders as they take conscious action for higher impact while holding them accountable to their vision and teams. Asli’s clients develop key skills such as influence, presence, communication, and self-mastery. Working with startups, nonprofits, and corporations, Asli brings her transformation experience, systems thinking, and strategy execution to help leaders scale. She is particularly effective with subject-matter experts and visionaries.​

Professional Background

With over 20 years of experience, Asli is a skilled facilitator for leadership events, strategy sessions, and professional workshops. She serves as a faculty member to deliver leadership development programs at Microsoft, Slalom, and AWS. Prior to founding her coaching and consulting company, Niches, in 2013, Asli worked for Microsoft in a variety of global roles.
These included her work as the Leadership and Organization Director for the Chief Strategy and Research Officer and her consulting role for the Bill Gates Groups when she supported the team through their transition into the Microsoft parent company. Throughout her tenure at Microsoft, she was a coach for High Potentials, Succession candidates, and the Adaptive Leadership Program. Before Microsoft, Asli worked as the Operations Director for C1ME, a U.S. startup in Dubai.
In addition to her advisory role to the CEO, she was responsible for the company’s organizational development agenda. Asli was also brought in as the Managing Consultant in Istanbul to help launch the Management Consulting Division of Nicholson International, a UK-based executive search firm, and as HR Consultant for Boyner, where she supported the President of the Holding Group of Companies alongside company CEOs in re-engineering, growth, and switching to stock-based compensation efforts—a first in the country.​

Education:

Asli holds a BSc. in Public Administration and Political Science and an M.A. in Human Resources.​
